Hello. My name is Huiwei. I am female, Singaporean and ethnic Chinese.

There are many hats and identities I wear, some of which will be apparent, and some, less so. This blog exists for the pleasure of writing and articulating my thoughts; my entries  will understandably vary in accordance with my different interests and hobbies.

If it amuses you to know, here are a list of things I like, in no particular order of importance:

Pretty things, strange things, things that people don’t often notice, taking long walks in cities, studying maps, taking subways, genderfuck, crumbling ruins and derelict buildings, cats, crafting things with my hands, manga, rock music, Hong Kong movies, tweaking a piece of design over and over and over, nerding out over typography on everyday things, the packaging on traditional Chinese products and items, visual art, Baroque architecture and music, wuxia and taiga drama, tea, teh ping, having crazy conservations over tea, handmade pizza, unnatural hair colors, shaving patterns into my scalp, feminism, making my own clothes, astronomy, fractal art, geometry, making up words and obsessing over words … and many more.
